All
of the odds that are listed below are based upon Las
Vegas odds that were posted August 26, 2004 and may
differ from your favorite Internet Sport Book Super
Bowl odds, which generally gives you even better odds.
One thing is certain though; the odds will undoubtedly
change between the time of this posting and the day
of the big show.
New
Orleans Saints
Saints
(35:1)
The saints have been a slump away from a great team
the last three years. Aaron Brooks is a talented QB
with weapons. Listen to this list of studs; Joe Horn,
Donte Stallworth, Deuce McAlister, Jerome Pathon,
and return man Michael Lewis. In these guys Brooks
has 3 speed happy receivers and a real special running
back that does everything well. Offensively these
saints could be a mirror image of the Ram's in their
heyday. The defense really needs to step up, but they
very well could. They're young, but J.T. Sullivan
and Rookie Will Smith could really impress this year.
Ashley Ambrose, Fred Thomas, Tebucky Jones, and Jay
Bellamy are all decent Defensive Backs. This group
could finally come together and become what they have
been trying to be the last 3 years. Did I mention
they're 35:1 odds? That's right, they've been a competitive
team the last four years, and they're 35:1. With the
weapons they have, the Saints could be godly this
year, and if things get down in New Orleans there
are always beads. (back

Other
Intriguing Prospects: The Seahawks at 12:1,
the Panthers at 15:1, and the Steelers
at 20:1 are also worth recognizing. The Hawks are
loaded at every position and have shown a confidence
that makes them exciting. The Panthers at 15:1 went
to the Super Bowl last year
and almost beat
the heroic Patriots. The Steelers have 3 amazing wide
receivers and Duce Staley has looked great in the
pre-season. He was underused last year in Philly,
and I'm sure he's out to prove it. Add these three
teams to the list. Take a chance on one of the teams
in my elite eight and come out with a little, or a
lot of pocket cash!
